Abstract
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to review on wake-sleep study about circadian rhythm, analysis, method comparisons, sleep disturbance and elderly wake-sleep rhythm used to actigraphy.

Method : A Medline literature search, the legislature of a nation library and RICH literature search for articles were conducted from the year 1990 to 2005. A total of 60 articles were identified as this study.

Result : Actigraphy has been used successfully in analysis of circardian rhythm. Actigraphy had strong correlates of endogenous rhythm and PSG. Analysis methods were five parameters cosinor analysis of acrophase, amplitude, meser, activity and period and actigraphy computing program method .

Conclusion : Actigraph has been used as a measure of wake-sleep activity or circadian rhythm in a broad range of clinical studies. Therefore, Actigraphy may be useful in circadian characterization of nursing intervention, such as wake-sleep disturbance.
